My Venue

FAQ

Q: Have you worked at my venue before?
A: I’ve shot at hundreds of venues, so there’s a good chance that I have. However, if I haven’t, I’ll get to the venue early, either the day before or the day of, and I’ll perform a thorough walk-through to scout out the best photography locations. I also do extensive online research prior to your wedding day, and I’ll find other amazing locations in the vicinity.

Q: My venue is very dark. How do you handle that situation?

A: I’ve worked in the darkest possible venues, so no need to worry! If the situation allows, I’ll set up additional still lighting to ensure we get focused pictures. I will never use flash for your ceremony, as it can be extremely distracting. If the venue or the mood does not allow for extra lighting, I shoot using cameras with superb low-light performance and lenses with low apertures. We can also discuss ways to add ambient lighting to your ceremony or reception, to create not only better images, but also a more intimate vibe.

Q: I love the locations in your images. Do you find those, or do I have to?

A: I’m passionate about location scouting. I will always do the work to find great photo spots, providing you with options and, if need be, reasons for why I’ve chosen each one.
